My 'superman juice' is working!

Hi everyone

Mum had a quick chance to get away and say hello to everyone for me...so GIDDAY!!
Im doing ok...im on my 4th day of chemo today...one more to go...then im hoping we get a few days at home (At rons house). There is a good chance i will be back in hospital as i will be much more susceptible to cooties, but we will take it as it comes.
We are all pretty bushed, as there are usually heaps of interruptions at night. Dad had nite shift last nite, and i was pretty much up almost every hour! poor dad...i was ok, but he was looking pretty ragged this morning...
We are looking forward to leaving hospital for a few days of 'normality!'.
my 'superman juice' is working well...my counts have come down from an average of 52 to 18 yesterday...finally within 'normal range'...i had a blood transfusion yesterday as well..so ive perked up a fair bit.
I got a 'bravery' certificate on friday for when they put my hickman line in...i reckon i was pretty brave too...
we are currently at the childrens cancer centre - Level 6 on the ward up there. its pretty cool, im close to my friends jared and connor. they are both doing pretty well too...i started my superman juice when jared started his. mum and dad are happy too cause they get to see chris and scott a fair bit now too. Mum reckons they are really funny too.
mum has a new mission at the moment...and she would like to thank ALL of you who will be supporting it. When we stayed on level 8 - the neurological ward, there was a sign that was asking for clothes to be donated to the level. When mum asked why, a nurse said that there were a few kids that came in with nothing, and would like to have the opportunity to wear 'normal' clothes instead of the gowns they provide - trust me, they are a bit embarrassing cause people can see your bum through the back! So a few texts later, all my mums mates have rallied together in a bit of a 'clothes drive' to donate to this wonderful ward...the nurses there really are great (and very very cute!) SOOOO THANKS HEAPS on behalf of the kids who will never have to show their bums again!
the other thing that mum will mention is that the cancer ward only has plain bandaids...when mum asked why they didnt have coloured ones, apparently they are not supplied any more and they rely a bit on donated bandaids and stickers...so to start THAT ball rolling, mum has donated our 'simpson' bandaids to the ward, and will be looking out for stickers for the kids too.
Anyways...thats my story for now...hopefully aunty hayley will have some pics up from the night last friday at the entertainment centre, and we will definitely put pics up when dad has his hair done on thursday...we are very excited!

anyways..love all you guys, and thanks again heaps for everything, all your love and kisses. Mum would like to thank our dear mates from bairnsdale for the beautiful flowers and bottle of wine they sent us to 'keep our spirits high'. i know it sounds a bit corny, but knowing that all you guys are out there keeping an eye on us is more than enough to ensure our spirits soar!

lots of luv and hugs
ELI

Donna. Nat and I are rallying the Bdale Office to find some baby clothes - shouldn't be too hard at all. Shave day is coming and currently we are at $1800 - therefore all targeted heads will be shaved - 8 baldies wondering the office this Friday. We'll send you photos. Lots and Lots of Love Donna, Nat and B
